I fed a cricket!

Sorry guys, no picture today... (My camera had no battery, so thanks to Pixabay, where I got this picture! ) I just came to tell you that I fed a cricket!!
It was a little, young, scrawny cricket that was chillin' out in a corner. He was yellow-gray, like ripe wheat, but with grey on his back. I watched him for a while, squeeing over his cuteness.
Bolting to the computer, I looked up what crickets could eat. They can eat anything that isn't poisonous and covered with preservatives and pesticides. Remembering we have grapes in the fridge, I washed one very carefully, and pulled out a little piece. (about a centimeter wide) I sneaked back over to the corner, and the cricket was still there. Dropping the piece of grape near it, I sat back down to the computer, watching science videos. After a bit, I returned, and guess what? The cricket ate half, and was still at it! It got spooked by my sudden squeeing and walked away from me.
I am very happy that I fed such a cute little creature, and I will let him and his friends stay for the winter. (While  writing this, I got up and noticed that he was making his way down the hallway.)
