In my opinion, 3d pens are very useful for a number of reasons.
First of all, you save money. You just pay a bit of money one time, and all the other things that you spend for the 3d pen are cheap, but large coils of plastic wire to heat and turn into different shapes. You can make so many things!
If you are like me, a child, you can make your own custom toys from your own imagination!
We do not have to go toy shopping anymore!
Second, they are safe. If you don’t use them on your hands, they will cool instantly and will be easy to bend into the required shape if you need to. For safety, I recommend using rubber gloves just in case your hand slips. But overall, it’s quite safe.
Third, lasting creativity! I love to make sculptures and play with them, but I just wish they would last. Hardened clay sculptures often break when dropped, and modeling clay, like the one that i have, doesn’t ever harden. It will get squished or flop over.
I think that a 3d pen would be a good investment. It’s mostly safe, the creations are
lasting, it’s another type of art, and it helps to save money.
In my opinion, fines are a last resort. Education should be used more because it tells people why or why not to do something, and most of the time, it is successful.
Educating people will let them know why it’s important to not waste water. For example, if many people are wasting water in a city but don’t really know the importance of saving water, they should be taught why it’s important to not waste water. Then the citizens will know why saving water is important and stop wasting it. If some of the citizens still don’t care and waste it anyways, that’s where the fines come in.
A good example is San Antonia, which has started a water conservation program that educates people on why saving water is important, and was very successful, thus proving that education is the best way to make people do or not do something. They also share ways to save water in every-day tasks. The same city has also worked with an organization called ‘Master Gardeners’. The organization sends out online newsletters showing water saving tips on gardening. This was also successful, as San Antonia’s water usage has dropped down quite a bit.
My view on the subject is that fines should only be used if someone knows why something shouldn’t be done, but doesn’t care and does it anyways. Education is the most effective way to show people the right way to do the right thing and make their community a better place. :)
