Spotted Hyena

Hey everyone! This is a spotted hyena. Spotted hyenas are not endangered yet, with populations high in most areas, but their numbers are declining rather quickly due to population loss, culling, and poaching. In some areas they are fully protected species, and in others they are considered vermin. Although they aren't in major trouble yet, they could be in the future- just like giraffes, lions, and rhinos.
